No amount of planning could have prepared us for the intensity of emotion and happiness on our special day. Months of detailed planning squeezed into a few hours that rush by like a brilliant storm and is over in what seems like minutes. The anticipation started to build a few days before the wedding only to be distracted from time to time by the steady influx of family and friends flying in from countries like Saudi, Jordan, USA, and even the Philippines. Then came the rush of juggling all the tasks at hand: meeting appointments, guests, tux/dress, ballroom, music… “now where did i put that RING!?”

In the blink of an eye we were teleported to the corridor of the hallway leading to the banquet hall. Everything we worried about that could have gone wrong that evening dissappeared in a moment. The rhythmic drum beat from the zaffah (traditional Palestinian wedding chant) and the zaffah group chanting and singing the familiar Palestinian songs we grew up with going to weddings. “Arriving are the bride and groom!” the zaffah chanted. A crowd of smiles from our parents, siblings, family and friends overwhelmed the emotion of the evening and reminded us what all of this was intended for.. to see all of them together again.

The story of our wedding today is captured and told through the beautiful photographs of Tasneem Photography. We were blessed with beautiful moments all around us but with little ability to appreciate or draw our attention to them. Tasneem was there every step of the way from the relaxed pre-wedding shots, to the action packed wedding, and ultimately to the relieved post wedding photos. We’re grateful to have our story told through her lens.
