Romantic Pre-wedding Photoshoot in Bahrain, LaFontain

I met Yousif and Azza more than a year ago at an event in La Fontain Art Center. I remember the place as one of the most magical in Bahrain. I also remember mentioning to Yousif that it was a dream to shoot a wedding there, because of the vintage and natural style of the architect. I loved the authenticity, and the rawness in the centers decor.

Then, a few months earlier, I bumped into Azza again in Dubai. I found out that her wedding was going to be at LaFontain. How lucky is she! And how lucky was I to take photographs of her pre-wedding AND wedding photos in that location. As beautiful as the location was, Azza and fiancee were much more beautiful. The smiles and laughs were so genuine. I had so many comments from fans telling me how the girl in the photo had a perfect smile. Azza, ur cute smile is infectious!

I wanted to share their fun-loving personality. Trust me when I say, we we’re laughing so hard, I actually ran into a window and kept laughing! Cant wait for there wedding next week ♡

Wedding Portrait in Dubai, One & Only Royal Mirage

If you haven’t ever had the chance to meet me personally, I’m a very…can I say bubbly? ok, let’s go with outgoing…I’m a happy, having fun kinda gal. Don’t get me wrong, I can be serious too. You’ll find me staring at my huge desktop screen editing and designing albums, with a VERY serious face. I swear!

However, when it comes to shooting weddings, I become hyper. An insane goofy person, smiling and laughing at a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. I then get teary-eyed because grandma at the wedding, decided to join the stage and show off her funny dance. Every wedding becomes, in my mind, a beautiful romantic story, about to unfold. It’s my job to capture it. I want the cute romantic couple to see those pictures and say: “Awwwwwww, how sweet is Granny!”

Well, for Sara and Rashad, EVERYONE was adorable and cute. TRULY! The couple decided to stay cool and calm, and share the suit at the One & Only Royal Mirage. So whilst Sara was getting ready with make-up and hair, Rashad was keeping himself busy finalizing the last details. The One & Only Royal Mirage proved to be an amazing wedding location. As a photographer, it was very hard for me to decide which detail was more gorgeous than the other. So I had to remind myself to take photos of guests, bride and groom, then the rest of the atmosphere.

As the wedding started, they entered to an amazing Dabka dance. No one could stay still. It was mostly funny to see the brothers of the bride and groom, mix their western style dance to a dabka. it was the first time for me to witness the Palestinian dance, and I absolutely loved the words, music and sense of group rhythm that the men had to get into. I haven’t felt this much love from everyone as I had that night. You could tell that although most of the guests flew from all around to Dubai, they had no jet-lag! The night was unforgettable for all of them.

A few weeks after the wedding day, Sara and Rashad decided to go for a (trash the dress) session. With a location like Dubai beach, you can never top that. Fortunately for us, Dubai humidity decided to play nice for a day. All we needed were a few flowers, some make-up, and the outdoor heavenly setting. Now enough reading….

Fun Pre-Wedding Photoshoot In Dubai, McGettigans

You know when they say: “Love is in the air?” That’s how I felt when I met Sara and Rashad. The beautiful couple had only met a few months ago, and yet they immediately knew how perfect they were for each other. While sharing their romantic story, I couldn’t help but feel inspired that true love does exist;)Because they met in Dubai, the couple wanted to have photos of them to share with friends and family, and use for the printed reception book. The location, Bonnington Hotel at Jumairah Lake Towers was perfect. It had different decor in every room. We began with a very elegant and sophisticated theme to get classy engagement couple portraits, and then as the music got louder, they were wearing jeans and got in the mood for a more retro and casual theme. One of the staff members called the photos: “You started with Gucci, and the worked with D&G” I seriously want to them to consider modeling. Don’t you?

As usual, I was in photographers heaven.

Tasneem - Thank u! I really appreciate your words of encouragement. I too, took courses but was too busy to apply any of the things I learned at the time. The courses gave me back up to encourage me, but it was reading books of photographers I loved, and a whole lot of practicing to find my own style. I would love to write a few posts in the future on editing, composition, or whatever is helpful. Thanks again for the comment!

Spring Photoshoot at Dubai Park

Silvia and I met back when we were both living in Bahrain. So when Silvia moved to Dubai, I was happy. We could both get sad together about how much we missed that beautiful country and the friends that still live there.

Now although this photoshoot was taken back in April, when the weather was just as cool and beautiful as it is now, the pictures got buried and forgotten because both Silvia and I are workaholics and hadn’t really had a chance to sit and choose! So as soon as Silvia and I had the time, we met, and started debating about which one was the best. Silvia later sent me a mesage telling me that I was so mean for making it hard for her to choose between such pretty pictures! I can’t argue with that! LOL

Both Silvia and I are fond of the great big parks in Dubai, so location was easy. It was only a matter of choosing which spot and which props could make this photoshoot become unique to the rest of the outdoor ones I have done before. We found out, a hat is all that is needed when you have such a happy and cute 3-yr-old girl.
