If you haven’t ever had the chance to meet me personally, I’m a very…can I say bubbly? ok, let’s go with outgoing…I’m a happy, having fun kinda gal. Don’t get me wrong, I can be serious too. You’ll find me staring at my huge desktop screen editing and designing albums, with a VERY serious face. I swear!
However, when it comes to shooting weddings, I become hyper. An insane goofy person, smiling and laughing at a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. I then get teary-eyed because grandma at the wedding, decided to join the stage and show off her funny dance. Every wedding becomes, in my mind, a beautiful romantic story, about to unfold. It’s my job to capture it. I want the cute romantic couple to see those pictures and say: “Awwwwwww, how sweet is Granny!”
Well, for Sara and Rashad, EVERYONE was adorable and cute. TRULY! The couple decided to stay cool and calm, and share the suit at the One & Only Royal Mirage. So whilst Sara was getting ready with make-up and hair, Rashad was keeping himself busy finalizing the last details. The One & Only Royal Mirage proved to be an amazing wedding location. As a photographer, it was very hard for me to decide which detail was more gorgeous than the other. So I had to remind myself to take photos of guests, bride and groom, then the rest of the atmosphere.
As the wedding started, they entered to an amazing Dabka dance. No one could stay still. It was mostly funny to see the brothers of the bride and groom, mix their western style dance to a dabka. it was the first time for me to witness the Palestinian dance, and I absolutely loved the words, music and sense of group rhythm that the men had to get into. I haven’t felt this much love from everyone as I had that night. You could tell that although most of the guests flew from all around to Dubai, they had no jet-lag! The night was unforgettable for all of them.
A few weeks after the wedding day, Sara and Rashad decided to go for a (trash the dress) session. With a location like Dubai beach, you can never top that. Fortunately for us, Dubai humidity decided to play nice for a day. All we needed were a few flowers, some make-up, and the outdoor heavenly setting. Now enough reading….
