Tasneem Photography

Having two girls of my own, I’m constantly surrounded by ballerina games, castles and lots of princess wandering off to find their prince. I must admit that I love being included to play with them and sharing their imagination. However, one day they decide that I’m the royal queen, and the next I’m the ugly witch. LOL

This shoot was taken right after I had moved to Dubai. Although, I was in love with outdoor photoshoots, I wasn’t an expert on locations yet. The weather in Dubai was getting warmer, so we we’re unsure of how nice the humidity would be.

I wanted this outdoor photo shoot to be whimsical and catch the spirit that a beautiful 1yr old toddler would have. Her parents lived right across this park so we were very lucky with location. Walking around and following a toddler was a joy for me. She would walk a few steps, look back and pose. I’m not kidding!

It’s not everyday that I get to shoot birthday parties. So when Raghda called to book me for her daughters Safari themed birthday party, I had no idea what to expect. I mean, when was the last time you went to the zoo? I, for one, haven’t been greeted by a furry beast for the past 3 yrs.

Raghda, on the other hand, wanted to throw her daughters 3′rd birthday at home, but wanted to still have the outdoor safari theme every where. Her cute daughter adored parrots, lizards and turtles. However, had the pony not arrived, it wouldn’t have been a complete girly birthday party!  Also on the list of activities: bouncy castle, face painting, and other games that all the kids enjoyed. Studying graphic design, and having a great sense of style, Raghda set out to have everything personalized with her own artwork.

Great color coordinated food, and beautiful illustrations, lots of activities and great weather all made it a great day. I honestly felt guilty for not putting in half the effort that she did in my kids birthday. I am sure she’ll be the first person I call once I decide to throw a birthday for them!

Jenny and her sweet family spent the afternoon with me a couple of weeks ago at the beach, for a photo session to share with their family. They wanted to capture images of their time in Dubai before visiting the US during Christmas. Like any other toddler, it took some warming up. But once their son got warm, the dimples started to show and the giggles came out in abundance. I enjoyed taking photos of a boy for a change, since I usually ended up with lots of girls. I realized that boys needed much more running around after! Now here’s a peek at our time together!

I, for one, adore little details that you can only find in exquist small boutiques.  But I don’t think that I could have the time and energy to organize a birthday party to include vintage as a theme. Who could imagine a 1-yr-old birthday party could be planned to have all those details in one place? Having Tickles and Giggles, a birthday party event planner for children, organize this beautiful party proved that whatever your theme is age is never a limit. Dubai got to enjoy the grand birthday party of baby Eman with a posh and elegant touch.  I’ll leave you with the pictures, but first, keep in mind that this adorable table setup is for the children! Yup, as a mother, I feel soooo guilty for not throwing a birthday for my daughter as grand as this yet.

18′yr-old Tariq needed pics for his senior year book at school. I repeat, NEEDED, not wanted. So when his mom was obligated to call around for a photographer that made the task of getting a teenage guy to actually enjoy his photo shoot and WANT to be photographed, a friend mentioned my name. Tariq arrived with him mom and 2 sisters for support. All convincing him that it will only be painful for a few minutes. However, the photoshoot turned out to be fun. We had a laugh running around and scouting for different backgrounds. Fadia (mom) and baby sis where making silly faces in the back, till Tariq got comfortable and started smiling genuinely. By the end, everyone started posing and joined in for group shots.

Although Fadia was worried before the session, she mentioned later how her son Tariq loved the pics and chose more than he expected. Mission accomplished
